Holiday Updates
The latest instrument databases supplied with Derivity Analytics contain holiday dates out to 10 years for the major currencies, and up to 2 years for other currencies.
In order to keep the holiday data up to date as new holiday dates are announced, Derivity Analytics supports on-line updates of holiday information:
- from data published by Derivity, located in the derivity.com domain. (This is the default). Note that this option requires internet access.
- via Reuters pages FRXE and FSXE;
To change this source in an existing database please contact Derivity.
The Telerate pages 36500 to 36505 are no longer updated by Derivity. The latest databases are configured to look at derivity.com for their holiday information.
To Update The Database
- Open the database (press F8, or select the menu).
- Select the Currencies tab.
- Press the <Get Latest Holidays> button. This will update holiday data for all currencies.
PLEASE NOTE: It has come to our attention that the update sometimes fails the first time through. The message "Holidays Unchanged" is sometimes displayed in the status bar of the database dialog - this means that the update has not worked, even though there is a new update available. We will try to improve this procedure for the next release. Users should repeat the update until "Holidays Updated" is displayed in the status bar or the dates are updated as outlined in the Latest Update information below.
