RateShare - An Overview

RateShare is a system that allows users to share rates across a network. A user can share key information with other users via a simple Microsoft Excel add-in.

Using RateShare

A user specifies a data item with a symbol code and a field name in an Excel spreadsheet. Having entered a value selecting a menu option publishes this value to a server. Other users can then use the symbol code and field name to request the data from the server.

Components

The system consists of:

• The RateShare Microsoft Excel Add-In This is used to publish rate values to other users, and to view shared rates in Excel.
• The RateShare Server This application receives the published data and distributes it to interested users.
• The RateShare DDE Monitor allows the shared data to be viewed in Excel via DDE links.
• Derivity Analytics RateShare data may be viewed within the Derivity Analytics pricing application.
