Licencing
The RateShare server needs to be licenced for a number of RateShare client users. Licences for a trial period or for testing purposes are available.
Key-Based Licence
The application generates a base key: this is used to generate a licence key that allows the application to run. To obtain a licence key contact Derivity quoting:
- the Derivity Analytics user's name;
- a contact phone number or email address;
- the software version number (this is shown on the startup splash screen, and in the About box);
- the number of RateShare client users;
- the Base Key displayed in the licence dialog box during startup;
- whether the key is for a trial period.
The new key is set by entering it in the licence dialog box.
Operation
The licence prompt is displayed:
- when the application is started without a valid licence;
- if the licence is due to expire within a countdown period (30 days);
- by selecting from the Main window menu.
